Mission:

The mission of Carl C. Icahn Charter School is to use the Core Knowledge curriculum, developed by E.D. Hirsch, to provide students with a rigorous academic program offered in an extended day/year setting. Students will graduate armed with the skills and knowledge to participate successfully in the most rigorous academic environments, and will have a sense of personal and community responsibility.

Carl C. Icahn Charter School has 278 students in kindergarten through seventh grade and will cap at 324 students with the addition of our Eighth grade in September 2007.

In comparison to neighborhood schools, the district in which Carl C. Icahn Charter School is located, as well as borough, city and state averages, our children achieve at a significantly higher level on all NYS exams.
